The death toll from wildfires ravaging on both ends of California has risen to at least 29, after remains of several more people have been found Sunday.

Several California state lawmakers and the family of a 22-year-old unarmed black man fatally shot by police are proposing that California become the first state to significantly restrict when officers can open fire.

A Southern California man suspected of stealing a $300,000 Ferrari was arrested after asking for gas money, authorities said. 

Fourteen people were killed Wednesday when county restaurant inspector and his wife opened fire on his co-workers at a staff holiday banquet in San Bernardino County, California.
